# Members

Everyone in a workspace can see its shared chats, projects and templates, and uses its credits.

## Invite people

Workspace admins can invite people:

1. Go to **Settings → Members**
2. Under **Invite people**, enter their email address
3. Choose a **Role**: **Member** or **Admin**
4. Click **Invite**

They get an email inviting them to the workspace.

Every member and every pending invitation takes a seat. The page shows how many of your plan's seats are used. If they're all taken, add seats under [Billing](/billing).

You can also invite someone straight into a chat with **Share**. See [Sharing](/sharing).

## Accepting an invitation

Open the email and sign up, or log in, **with the email address the invitation was sent to**. You're added to the workspace automatically; there's nothing to click. Invitations don't expire.

Signed up with a different email address? Ask the admin to invite that address instead.

## Roles

| | Admin | Member |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Chats, projects, automations, templates, connectors | Yes | Yes |
| See usage and referrals | Yes | Yes |
| Invite people, change roles, remove members | Yes | No |
| Change workspace settings, approvals and chat retention | Yes | No |
| Edit company context | Yes | No |
| Connect Slack and Teams bots | Yes | No |
| Manage the plan, seats, payment details and credits | Yes | No |
| See and revoke everyone's connected apps and API keys | Yes | Only their own |
| Delete anyone's project or task | Yes | Only their own |
| Delete the workspace | Yes | No |

## Manage members

Admins can open the **⋯** menu next to a person in **Settings → Members** to:

- **Make admin** or **Make member**
- **Remove from workspace**: they lose access to the workspace's shared chats, projects and connectors straight away, and any work SourceGeek was doing for them stops
- **Revoke invitation** for someone who hasn't joined yet

A workspace always keeps at least one admin, so the last admin can't be removed or made a member.

A green dot on someone's avatar means they're online.
