# Prompt templates

If you find yourself typing the same kind of request again and again, save it as a prompt template.

## Create a template

1. Click **Templates** in the left rail, then **+ New template**
2. Give it a **Name** and, optionally, a **Description**
3. Write the **Prompt**
4. Choose whether to **Share with workspace**, and click **Create template**

You can also save any prompt in [Discover](/discover) with its bookmark icon.

Templates have no placeholders: write the prompt so it's easy to fill in, for example "Find [role] in [location] with [must-haves]", and replace the brackets before you send.

## Use a template

- In the message box, choose **+** → **Prompt templates** and pick one. It replaces what's in the message box, or
- Open the template and click **Use in new chat**

Either way the prompt isn't sent yet, so you can adjust it first. The template stays unchanged for next time.

## Share with your team

A new template is personal. Switch on **Share with workspace** to make it available to every member. Only the template's creator can change this.

## Manage templates

Open a template to edit it, **Archive template** to hide it from the list and the message box, or **Delete template** to remove it. These are available to the template's creator and to workspace admins. Archived templates are listed under the Templates panel's filter → **Archived**, where you can restore them.

For templates that start whole projects, see [Project templates](/project-templates).
