# Sharing

## Share with your team

Click **Share** at the top of a chat, or on a sheet, document or page.

- **General access**: **Restricted** keeps it to the people listed; **Everyone in your workspace** makes the chat shared, so every member can read and post. Only the person who started the chat can change this
- **Add people by email**: invite someone to your workspace and straight to this chat. Only admins can invite, and it may need a free seat. See [Members](/workspace/members)
- **Copy link**: a link that works for members who have access

A sheet, document or page can be seen by whoever can see its chat.

## Share a public link

A public link lets anyone view a sheet, document or page, such as a shortlist for a hiring manager or a client, without a SourceGeek account.

1. Open the sheet, document or page
2. Click **Share** and then **Create public link**. The link is copied
3. Send it to whoever needs it

People with the link see the latest saved version, read-only. They can't see the chat, your other work or the verdicts on a sheet. The link isn't indexed by search engines.

Only people who can edit it can create or turn off its link. You can see how many times the link was viewed.

### Turn a link off

Open **Share** and click **Turn off link**. The link stops working straight away. If you create a link again, it gets a new address.

A link also stops working when its chat is deleted or the workspace no longer has an active plan.
