Table of Contents:

Create messages

Subject, short and long message

There are three elements which are used in the messaging. See the description per element below:

  • Subject: This is only being used in the InMails when a subject is required

  • Short message: This is being used when a basic invite is being send with a 'note'. There is a limits of 300 characters in this message

  • Long message: This message can be in different scenarios. This copy is being used when InMails are sent, when you message to a 1st degree connection or when you want to send a message after a contact accepted your invite (without a note)

Available tokens

In the subject in the message there is the possibility to use various tokens. These tokens are wild cards and will be replaced with actual values when the messages are sent.

Below a list of available tokens:

  • {first_name}: This is the first name of the contact

  • {last_name}: This is being replaced with the last name of the contact

  • {landing_url}: This is the url being used in Step 1 if you selected a Lead Generation goal. Each contact will receive an unique url shortened by SourceGeek. This is a redirect and will add utm-parametres to the original link

  • {my_first_name}: First name of the user

  • {my_last_name}: Last name of the user
